What are email notifications?

We use email and push notifications to alert and remind users about important things. For example, you can set up reminders for visits or upcoming events, or notify you about changes to your care network, or let you know when there's a new note posted to your notebook. By allowing email or push notifications, this mean Five Good Friends can alert and direct you to important information without you having to login to your account and check for yourself.

How to turn on email notifications

  1. Login to your account via the web here, or open the Five Good Friends app on your smartphone.

  2. Select "Notifications" in the top menu bar if on web, or in the bottom tab bar if using the app.

  3. In notifications, you'll see a button labelled. "Settings" - select that.

  4. In the notifications settings, you can now choose which notifications you'd like to receive via email by turning those switches on.

I'm receiving an alert saying "Push notifications are switched off"

  • If you're interested in using push notifications as well, then please select the button labeled 'Switch on in settings' and allow push notifications for the 5GF app.

  • Otherwise, if you only want to receive email notifications select 'Not right now'

  • You can now see a list of notification types and turn the switch on (blue) or off (grey) for the notifications you want to receive via email.
