Register with My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or online. Complete screening and, if needed, book an aged care assessment.
After your assessment you receive a Notice of Decision and a support plan. If eligible you enter the Support at Home Priority System with a priority of urgent, high, medium, or standard. Some people receive interim funding so essential services can start sooner.
When funding is allocated you have 56 days to choose a provider and sign a service agreement. You can ask for a 28 day extension.
