Understanding the Accounts section in the App

Updated this week

The Accounts section in the Five Good Friends app helps you stay informed and in control of your package funds. Here, you can view your projected balance, check past statements, and review your billing history — all in one convenient place.

How to access the Accounts section

  1. Tap your initials in the top right corner of the screen.

  2. Select Account from the menu.

You’ll see two main tabs:

  • Budget – to view your projected balance and funding overview.

  • History – to see your statements and billing history.

Budget tab

The Budget tab shows your projected balance — an estimate of what your package funds will be at the end of the current billing period.

What is the projected balance?

The projected balance is the estimated amount of funding you’ll have left after your care and service costs for the billing period. It’s calculated by adding:

  • Your total package entitlements

  • Plus any unspent funds carried forward

  • Minus the projected costs of care and services for the billing period

This gives you a clear picture of how your funds are tracking.

Tip: Regularly checking your projected balance helps ensure you have enough funding available for your ongoing support needs.

When your available funds are low

If your available funds are low or zero and you still require more supports, it might be a good time to consider a package reassessment.

If you’d like to discuss this with one of our team members, please complete this form: Package Reassessment

History tab

The History tab helps you review all your financial records. It’s divided into three sections.

1. Statements

  • Displays your package statements for each billing period (for example, “01 Jun – 30 Jun 2025”).

  • Each statement summarises your spending, income, and remaining balance for that billing period.

  • Tap on a statement to view full details.

Good to know:

  • The billing recipient on the membership will receive an emailed copy of your statement at the end of each billing period.

  • You can also access all past statements at any time in the Statements section of the Accounts tab in the Five Good Friends app.

  • If you need to change who the billing recipient is on your membership, you can do this here: Update Membership Contact Details

2. Billing history

  • Shows all past invoices, grouped by billing period.

  • Each invoice lists the date and total amount charged.

  • Tap any invoice to see full details, including the service type and charge breakdown.

Example:

  • 14 Sep 2025 – $29.33

  • 24 Aug 2025 – $29.33

When you open an invoice, you’ll see details such as:
Invoice – 14 Sep 2025

  • Package Management: –$24.01

  • Care Management: –$5.32

3. Statements vs billing history

  • Statements show a summary of your overall package funds and spending for the billing period.

  • Billing history shows individual invoices as they occur, such as membership or care management charges.

Together, these give you a complete picture of how your package funds are being used.

Why the Accounts section is helpful

You can use the Accounts section to:

  • Track your package spending

  • Check your projected and available balance

  • View and download statements for any billing period

  • Review invoices and charges for services

  • Confirm your billing details and recipient
