You can change providers without any financial penalty.

If you are currently receiving services under a Home Care Package, it is worth reviewing the care you are receiving regularly. You have the choice to switch providers if your existing arrangement is no longer working for you. Remember, your Home Care Package is portable, so you can change providers at the time that suits you with no penalty from your existing provider.

According to the Department of Health and Aged Care, providers cannot charge an exit amount to care recipients who leave their organisation from 1 January 2023, even if it was stated in the service agreement.
